Join the KSU Central Ohio Alumni Chapter as they help fight hunger on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. For 32 years the Mid-Ohio Food Bank has been working with grocers, food companies, Ohio farmers, the USDA and community partners to obtain food and distribute it to more than 550 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, after-school programs, and senior housing sites across central and eastern Ohio.
Volunteers have two options:
Option 1 - Food sorting and packing at the warehouse facility from 5:30-8 p.m. Sort and pack grocery items for distribution throughout their 20 county service area.
Option 2 - Food Pantry from 6-8:30 p.m. Help families with their shopping process, stock shelves, pack emergency meal boxes.
Alumni MUST choose to participate in either Option 1 or Option 2.
There are only 24 volunteer spots available. RSVP by December 11 directly to Lindsay Jack at lyndsay304@yahoo.com. Please include your name, graduation year, email, phone number and Option 1 or 2.
All volunteers must complete the Hold Harmless Form. Please bring the completed form to the food bank. Click here to open the Hold Harmless Form.
Dress is casual, comfortable and something that can get dirty. Closed-toed shoes. If you are in the warehouse, please wear warm clothing. |
