Alumni Basketball Socials
Kent State alumni, family and friends come together each year to enjoy pre-game socials followed by a men's basketball game. The Kent State Alumni Association hosts the pre-game socials at the MAC Center and Flannery's for the MAC Tournament.

Blue and Gold Day - May 19, 2010
May 19, 1910, marked a special date in Kent’s history – the date Kent State University was officially established by the state legislature. Alumni, students, faculty and staff wore blue and gold on this day to celebrate Kent State University's 100th anniversary.

Alumni and friends from the Cleveland area gather quarterly to network and listen to a prestigious alumna/alumnus speak about their many experiences with Kent State University.

Coffee On Kent
Each month, Kent State Alumni Association team members deliver free coffee and muffins to an office with many KSU alumni. Offices in the Northeast Ohio area enter a drawing to win coffee and muffins.

Homecoming
Homecoming is a time of high energy on Kent State’s campus. We welcome hundreds of alumni back to campus to participate in many fun activities and see how campus has changed. The festivities kick-off with the Homecoming parade and wraps up with the Golden Flashes football game.

Squirrel Sightings
Kent State University's official mascot may be the Golden Flash, but an unofficial bushy-tailed mascot scurries up trees and scuttles across campus on a daily basis. Squirrels may be small, but their presence on campus is large. Find out where the alumni association's stuffed animal squirrel has traveled.

Area Representative Events
Area representatives serve as the primary contact for alumni programming in a geographic area that does not have an active chapter due to smaller populations of Kent State alumni. Area representatives host on average one or two events per year to connect alumni in the area.

Black Alumni Chapter
Officially formed in spring 2009, the Black Alumni Chapter serves over 7,000 alumni living in the United States. Central Ohio Alumni Chapter
The Central Ohio Alumni Chapter serves the Greater Columbus area along with more than 6,700 Kent State alumni who reside there. A variety of events and programs are hosted by this chapter including monthly happy hours, a new student send-off picnic, wine tastings and basketball game watch parties. Honors College Alumni Chapter
The Kent State University Honors College Alumni Chapter was established in 1995. Membership is open to more than 4,200 honors college graduates. The chapter is governed by an executive committee and a board of directors elected by the full chapter membership. Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC)Chapter
The JMC Chapter serves more than 6,000 Journalism and Mass Communication alumni nationwide. The chapter hosts a variety of programs and events including the annual Homecoming Social and Taylor Awards Brunch, McGruder Lecture Series/Diversity, Scholarship Sunday and KSU Men's Basketball Bracket Buster. Lake County Alumni Chapter
The Lake County Alumni Chapter serves more than 3,000 alumni living in Lake County. As the first and oldest chapter, chartered in 1965, the Lake County Alumni Chapter has hosted six of the University's 11 presidents at the annual spring dinner. Marching Band Alumni Chapter
The Marching Band Alumni chapter serves more than 1,000 band member alumni. Alumni volunteers plan the annual Homecoming social as well as the parade and half-time performances. Alumni chapter members host the Flasher Brass Reunion in conjunction with a spring basketball game each year. National Capital Alumni Chapter
The National Capital Chapter serves over 2,700 alumni living in the greater Washington D.C. area. The group supports the Kent State University Washington Program in National Issues (WPNI) and annually hosts an opening reception for students in January. Southern California Alumni Chapter
Connecting with over 2,000 alumni in Southern California, this alumni group is one of our newest alumni chapters. This group is very active, participating in several sporting and cultural events throughout the year, including an annual trek to see the Cleveland Indians play the Anaheim Angels each summer. Stark County Alumni Chapter
The Stark County Alumni Chapter serves over 11,000 alumni living in Stark County. The group meets at least four times a year and hosts events including an annual Distinguished Alumni Dinner, a spring auction fundraiser for scholarships and an event during the Balloon Classic as part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame week in Canton.
